No. LocalLine works with the phone you already have. You keep one device and one everyday setup, while still receiving calls to your US or Canadian number.
How quickly can I get a number?

Can I change where my calls are forwarded?
Yes. You can update your forwarding number anytime from your dashboard, and changes take effect right away.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account. Your number stays active until your current monthly or yearly term ends, and your plan will not renew after that. We do not offer refunds for unused time.
